schülke's long company history is characterized by true pioneering work, innovation and the mission to protect lives worldwide through our work. Join us on a journey through schülke's 130-year corporate history and to the origin of the company as we know it today.
With a clear focus on further advancing its climate protection activities based on the latest climate science findings, schülke joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in June 2022, thereby committing to fulfilling the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. In March 2023, schülke submitted its specific targets to SBTi - these targets were successfully validated in November 2023.
Our targets up to 2030 include, starting from the base year 2021
- Reduction of absolute greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by 42% (direct and indirect emissions)
- 25% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services in Scope 3
SBTi is a collaboration between the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the UN Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The initiative defines proven science-based procedures and evaluates corresponding targets of companies on an independent basis. Around 6,500 companies worldwide are currently working with SBTi.
