Fields of Application

For chemothermal reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in endoscope washer/disinfectors.

Instructions for use

A typical cycle will be as follows:
  • pre-rinsing (optional)
  • cleaning with thermosept® ER, 5 ml/l
  • intermediary rinse
  • disinfection:
  • dosage 1.0 % thermosept® PAA additive,, dosing while water inflow
  • dosage 1.0 % thermosept® PAA base
  • contact time 5 minutes at 37°C
  • rinsing
  • final rinsing

100 g solution contains the following active substances: 5 g peracetic acid, as well as hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid
Composition of component additive:

100 g solution contains the following active substances: potassium hydroxide, phosphate and corrosion inhibitor, surfactant.

The base and additive components have to be used in combination.
Store in original container at room temperature. Keep the container tightly closed. protect from heat and sunlight. thermosept® PAA is not suitable for instruments made of brass and copper nor chrome-plated instruments.
According to EN 17 664, the instrument manufacturers' instructions should be followed and, if necessary, the compatibility of the materials ensured before the application.
This is particularly valid when reprocessing older endoscopes. These should be strictiy tested for compatibility with peracetic acid.
