Since 2019, the awareness day, originally initiated by the Aktionsbündnis Patientensicherheit (APS), has been proclaimed annually by the WHO.
This year, the focus is on patient participation within healthcare, dedicated to the theme:
"Engaging patients for patient safety".
Why? The impact of meaningful patient engagement is remarkable, with studies showing a potential reduction in the burden of harm by up to 15%, saving countless lives.1 Therefore, on the one hand, patients are called upon to actively participate in their treatment, for example by formulating concerns, asking questions or voicing their opinions. On the other hand, medical staff are called upon to integrate the patient's voice more strongly. With the common goal of further improving the safety and well-being of patients.
schülke is proud to contribute to the safety and health of patients worldwide. Our products and solutions help hospitals and medical facilities maintain optimal hygiene standards to protect the health and well-being of patients.
We work closely with healthcare professionals to develop innovative solutions to prevent infections and ensure safe patient care.
Patient safety is our number one priority!
