Totally agree! Or don't you? It is very important that young people learn at an early age to form their own opinion based on well-researched information. Reading is the key. We are therefore pleased that schülke has been the official reading sponsor of the Willy Brandt School in Norderstedt since November 1st. As part of the reading sponsorship, the students will receive two copies of the Hamburger Abendblatt* daily for one year, delivered directly to the classroom.
"Reading is knowledge and the foundation for being able to form one's own opinion on various topics. We would like to encourage young people to read at an early age, to educate themselves further and to question, to be interested and eager to learn. The reading sponsorship is therefore a great opportunity for schülke to support young people in this sense”, says Christian Last, CEO schülke.
The "Reading Sponsors" campaign was first launched in 2016 by the Hamburger Abendblatt. A company or private individual supports a selected school with an annual subscription to the Hamburger Abendblatt. The children and young people thus gain access to current political and social topics in Hamburg, Germany and the world. The promotion of reading skills, opinion forming and of course the fun of reading are the main focus of this campaign.
